Delores M. Redelman, 88, Greensburg, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. She was born on August 7, 1930 in Michigan City, Indiana (LaPorte County) to Frank and Marie (Pacholke) Welnetz. She married Alfred J. Redelman on August 22, 1964 in Michigan City, IN and he preceded her in death on September 24, 1995. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Michigan City, IN, now called Marquette Catholic High School, in 1948. She was an office worker being employed at the former Pullman Standard Car Manufacturing Company and Arno Adhesive Tape Company. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a former member of the Greensburg Senior Center, and had worked at Stewart Seed Company for 14 years during fall harvest. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking and canning. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, living in the country and doing yard work. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred; one brother, Francis Welnetz; two sisters, Rita Strakowski, and Sister Susan Welnetz, a member of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament of Bensalem, PA, whose founder was St. Katharine Drexel. She is survived by one daughter, Miriam (Andrew) Diez, Indianapolis; two sons, Gregory, and Kevin (Marilyn), Greensburg; three grandchildren, Sara and John Redelman, and Clare Diez; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home to pray the rosary. Visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. The family will also receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. Adam Ahern officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Building Fund.
