(Versailles, IN) – The community is invited to attend the dedication of the Little Souls Cemetery by the grove at Tanglewood Cemetery.
A short program will be held Sunday, November 2 at 3 p.m. at the cemetery, which is located at 1739 South County Road 175 West near Versailles.
This is the first location of its type within a cemetery in Ripley County.
The Little Souls Cemetery was created after a trustee attended a presentation about it at an Osgood Lions Club meeting.
The cemetery provides a place for families to bury their babies lost prior to 20 weeks gestation or a place to memorialize their babies when there are no remains.
Funding for this area was provided by a Tanglewood Baptist Legacy Fund, Inc. grant, which matched funds raised by numerous community and family donations to Tanglewood Cemetery.
