Greensburg, In. — Due to high case volume Decatur County prosecutor Nathan Harter has announced plans to hire a deputy prosecutor.
The full-time county position will be eligible for a starting salary of $40,000 (or higher depending on experience), benefits and reports directly to the elected and chief deputy prosecutor.
The deputy prosecutor will be responsible for screening cases, prosecute misdemeanor, felony, and/or child support cases in both Decatur County courts.
Factors considered in the hiring decision will be experience in practicing criminal law, courtroom experience, willingness to reside in Decatur County, proper education including bar admission and a demonstrated capacity to work as a team.
