GREENSBURG – Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) scored well after a survey in June by DNV-GL Healthcare, an international healthcare accrediting corporation.
The accreditation process takes into consideration patient safety standards, as DNV-GL prides itself on safeguarding life, property and the environment.
Hospital officials have been notified that the facility is in compliance with the Medicare Conditions of Participation for Critical Access Hospitals. DCMH has been awarded with re-accreditation for the next three years.
DCMH Director of Quality Brad Green said it’s a bonus for the hospital and community.
“It looks to make sure we are following the rules and guidelines set up for CMS for Medicare and Medicaid for our hospital. It allows us to prove we are following guidelines as needed,” Green commented.
