Decatur County has moved to Orange travel status

Decatur County, IN — Effective as of 1 pm on February 16, 2021 the Decatur County Board of Commissioners has lifted the local State of Emergency for the entire county.
All citizens are reminded that travel will be hazardous, and to use caution if you must travel.

The travel status for Decatur County will be reduced to a Watch or Orange level with the state of emergency lifted. The roads will still be hazardous and some side roads are yet to be completely plowed out. The primary and secondary roads are plowed and passable at this time.

According to Brad Speer, Decatur County Emergency Management Agency Director, the primary and secondary roads have been plowed in the county and crews continue to work on the remaining roads. The roads that have been plowed are passable, but remain slick and hazardous. With the reduction in the wind, the crews are making good strides in getting all the roads open for the public.
