Decatur County has high voter turnout for election

Greensburg, IN — Decatur County saw a 71.13% voter turnout for the November 2020 election.  The biggest upset for Decatur County on election night is in the County Commissioner District 1 seat. Newcomer Charles Chuck Emsweller defeated incumbent Rick Nobbe 7,950 to 4,067 votes.  

In other contested races in Decatur County, for the County Council-at-Large seats, incumbents Ernie Gauck, Bill Metz, as well as republican newcomer Melanie Nobbe will be serving the next four years in those seats. And in the Decatur County School Board District C race, Nicholas Messer defeated Timothy Roscoe 2,400 to 1,762 votes.
