UPDATE: Decatur County Fair makes unanimous vote to cancel 2020 Fair

Greensburg, IN—

Update: Friday, May 29– After a second meeting held on Thursday evening, the Decatur County Fair Board unanimously voted to cancel the 2020 fair.  The group seriously considered all information presented to them and received more information on public health before voting last evening according to Phil Nobbe.  

Sara Dunlap, Extension Educator for Decatur County stated that the 4-H Board will now review the changes being made with last night’s decision before they present its plans for the 4-H events to Purdue.   

 

Original Story: Thursday, May 28-According to Board President Phil Nobbe, the Decatur County Fair is a go for July as long as the County is under Stage 5 of the #Back on Track Indiana plan, but officials from the Decatur County Fair Board, Purdue Extension Office, and Extension Homemakers are still ironing out the details of just how the annual event will be including 4-H events, booths, and midway rides.
