Statewide — Decatur County, along with Rush, Shelby, and several others, are now among 50 Indiana counties considered high risk for community spread of COVID-19.
Last week, 53 Hoosier counties were considered high risk, according to data from the CDC map.
More than 13-thousand cases of the virus have been reported in Indiana in the past week.
Over the last seven days, Decatur County had 44 new cases, while Ripley County – which was initially considered high risk recently – had 51.
Franklin and Dearborn counties are both showing medium spread of the disease.
