Decatur Co. Deputies Respond to Numerous Weather-Related Crashes

(Decatur County, IN) – The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to nearly two dozen accidents caused by Monday morning’s snowfall.

There were 23 crashes or slide offs between 5:44 and 10:01 am – three of which involved injuries and seven resulted in property damage.

Deputies were called to 11 slide offs. Ten of those happened on I-74; seven took place on either State Road 3 or State Road 46, and six more were reported on county roads.

Assisting agencies included Decatur County Communications; the Greensburg police and fire departments; Indiana State Police; St. Paul Marshal’s Office; Decatur County EMS; Lett’s Fire/EMS; South Decatur School Resource Officer; TDS Towing; Sweet’s Wrecker Service; Platinum Wrecker Service, and Tim’s Wrecker Service.
