(Dillsboro, IN) – Great ideas around small business support, affordable housing, downtown reinvestment, safety, the arts, and walkability were offered up at the first Stellar Week activity in Dearborn County on Monday. The One Dearborn County team held a Stellar Workshop at the Dillsboro Civic Center, with local leaders and everyday citizens coming together to discuss needs and strategies to help our cities and towns thrive (pictured).
Besides helping communities identify a shared vision for what they want to be, why are we hosting these workshops and conducting an online survey? One Dearborn County hopes to attain the coveted Stellar Community designation from the Indiana Office of Community & Rural Affairs (OCRA) and millions in state funding to catalyze local projects in Dearborn County supporting the community’s vision.
