Sunman, IN—According to Ginger Bradford, Republican Chairwoman for Ripley County, a Republican convention has been called for the town of Sunman. This is standard procedure for a town of fewer than 3500 residents to select their candidates for the November election according to Bradford.
Those who have declared candidacy for the convention at this point are as follows:

This is a Republican convention to elect Republican candidates. Therefore, only registered voters living within the town limits of Sunman and who have voted republican in past primary elections are eligible to vote in this convention.
The deadline for declaring candidacy at the Ripley County Clerk’s office for either of these offices is Thursday, August 1 at noon. The convention is scheduled for Wednesday, August 14 at 7 pm in the Sunman Town Hall. Pat Scharf will be presiding as the convention chairmen.
