(Greensburg, IN) – For the fourth year in a row, the Obstetrics/Women’s Center team at Decatur County Memorial Hospital has won the INSpire Hospital of Distinction Award.
The Indiana Hospital Association honors OB departments across the state each year for demonstrating success in five fundamental aspects: safe sleep, breastfeeding, tobacco use prevention, perinatal substance use, and safety bundles.
“I couldn’t be more proud of our incredible team. We will continue putting best practices forward as we provide care and education to our mothers and newborns. We are dedicated to continued education and providing quality care to reduce infant and maternal mortality,” said Tammy Sidell, DCMH Women’s Center/ OB manager.
“This is an outstanding distinction for our OB department and team members. They work exceptionally hard to provide high quality care to our mothers and newborns,” said Katie Lykins, Executive Director of Nursing Services. “I am incredibly proud of our team. This is a testament to the many wonderful things we are doing here at DCMH.”
The team has won this award in 2020, 2021, 2022 and now 2023.
