(Greensburg, IN) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital facilities and offices experienced phone outages and internet issues Wednesday.
The problem started in the morning and hampered staff members’ efforts throughout the day to not only make and receive phone calls but also keep from accessing patient records.
Elective service appointments scheduled for Wednesday may have been postponed and are in the process of being rescheduled, and the hospital’s retail pharmacy was closed.
The issues were resolved late Wednesday afternoon, and DCMH announced shortly after 6 p.m. that operations would resume at all locations today, but that there may be periodic phone outages.
Officials say there is no evidence that the hospital was the victim of a hacking or ransomware attack.
