Greensburg, IN — The Decatur County Community Foundation (DCCF) Board of Directors met recently and approved $6,528.42 in Thank-a-Teacher Grant requests. These were awarded to 19 different teachers at Greensburg, North Decatur, South Decatur, St. Mary’s Catholic School, and Good Shepherd Christian Academy.
Some examples of awardees are South Decatur High School, which is receiving a grant for a 3D printer that calculus students will use to create non-regular shapes and examine cross-sections to find the volume of those shapes. Greensburg Elementary School will receive funding for their special needs department to purchase craft packs, which will help students with their occupational and communication skills. North Decatur Elementary School was awarded a grant to purchase sketchbooks for their art students.
