BATESVILLE, Ind. — Don’t forget before you go to bed tonight to set your clocks 1 hour forward.
Fire officials also say it is a good time to check your smoke detectors and fire alarms and change the batteries.
The National Weather Service has provided some tips to help your body adjust to the time change.
- Don’t change your schedule. Stick to regular waking, eating, sleeping, and exercise times.
- Have a nighttime routine. Prepare your body for sleep by engaging in a few relaxing activities before going to bed.
- Avoid long naps. Keep naps short (between 20-30 minutes) to avoid disrupting your sleep schedule.
- Get some natural sunlight. Sunlight helps regulate your body’s internal clock.
