Darrell Lynn Fugate, 70, of Dillboro passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence with his loving family by his side. Darrell was born on Saturday, April 30, 1955, in Milan; son of Grover Fugate and Ella Moore. He was a truck driver for many years for Kennedy Trucking. He enjoyed fishing with the kids, going to the races, model cars, and going out to eat at Golden Corral.
Darrell will be missed by his daughters Amy Littleton of Missouri and Rebecca Fugate of Kansas; brother Earl (Brenda) Kennedy of Dillsboro; sisters Diana Sheets of Dillsboro, Patricia Brown of Dillsboro, Edwina Carpenter of Dillsboro, and Christa Bays of Versailles; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents Grover Kennedy and Ella Moore;daughter Jennifer Ethridge; and stepfather Earl Kennedy.
Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be given in honor of Darrell to the family.
