(Milan, IN) – With just a few days remaining, Ripley Youth Outreach (RYO) has surpassed its goal to raise money to add art and other amenities to Daren Baker Memorial Park in Milan.
Thirty-five donors helped RYO raise $10,306 dollars as of Tuesday morning through its crowdfunding campaign, which ensures the group will receive a matching grant from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority’s My Community, My Vision program.
RYO was tasked with a deadline of this Thursday to raise $10,000 for a project to enhance the park by renovating the main shelter, installing a mural, sculptures, landscaping, water stations, waste bins, and Wi-Fi.
R-Y-O is an initiative of the Ripley County Community Foundation.
