Creekside Development to add housing in Batesville

Batesville, In. — Housing starved Batesville will soon get a 24-acre, 64-lot subdivision west of the Kroger store off of State Road 229. The homes will be under $200,000 and from 1,200 to 1,500-square feet.

Lawrenceburg-based Land Consultants has asked and received a variance to reduce roadway width from 24-feet to 22-feet and eliminate underdrains on a portion of the project.

The development has been proposed by local businessmen Charlie Gillman and Luke Pierson.
