Statewide — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) has reported that 971 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Wednesday. A total of 89,359 Indiana residents have tested positive for the coronavirus. To date, 1,022,537 individual tests have been reported to ISDH at an 8.7% positive rate and 18 new deaths were reported for a total of 3,041 Hoosier deaths.
Dearborn County has a total of 559 cases and 28 deaths reported (up 1 new case), Decatur County has a total of 380 positive cases and 34 deaths (up 4 new cases), Franklin County has 265 positive cases and 23 deaths (up 1 new case), and Ripley County has 237 positive cases and 8 deaths (up 2 new cases). Locally, this is an increase of 8 new positive cases.
