Cook, Stirn to Be Inducted Into North Decatur Athletic HOF

The North Decatur Athletic Hall of Fame will induct two new members on Friday, January 16.

Bryce Cook, Class of 2002, and Alex Stirn, Class of 2020, will be inducted immediately following the junior varsity basketball game against South Decatur that evening.

There will also be a reception in their honor from 5-6 p.m. that is open to the public.  Attendees should enter Door #22.

While at North Decatur, Cook earned 12 varsity letters in football, basketball, and track. He was all-conference in all three sports and was part of a sectional champion football team, won the sectional in track as part of the 4×400 relay team, qualified for the track regional six times, and finished in the Top 10 all-time in scoring in basketball.  After graduation he played collegiately in basketball at Hanover College.

Stirn also earned 12 varsity letters in football, basketball, track, and baseball.  He was all-conference a total of 7 times and was a member of the 2019 regional football team.  His junior year he was all-conference in four sports, which is a rare occurrence.  He was a member of the Indiana Football Coaches Association (IFCA) junior all-state team and senior all-state team.  He was also an IFCA Regional All-Star and IFCA South All-Star.  Following graduation he played collegiately in football at Ball State University.
