Connie L. Meyer, 81, of Dewberry passed away at 6:50 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. She was born in Hooven, Ohio on September 17, 1942, the daughter of Hiram and June Weber Ison. She was married to Jim Meyer on August 19, 1961 and he preceded her in death on March 24 of this year. Survivors include one son Brian (Wendy) Meyer of Dewberry; two daughters Monda (Mike) Holland of New Whiteland and Melissa (Paul) Tunny of Versailles; grandchildren Katie (Taylor) Montague of Mooresville, Jessica (Jared) Atkinson of Bargersville, Samantha (Randall) Paul of Madison, Emma Wilhoit (Sam Lowe) of Indianapolis, Jacob (Shelby) Mullins of Cross Plains, and Lindsey, Rachel, and Sarah Meyer of Cross Plains; great-grandchildren Kindall, Ranzee, Jed, and Will: sisters-in-law Ruth Dabec of St. Augustine, Florida and Rita (Tom) Cassady of Tampa, Florida. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Meyer was a 1961 graduate of Cross Plains High School. Connie spent her working career of 30 years in the field of health care, employed as a QMA with the Silver Bell Nursing Home and the Dillsboro Manor. Connie loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them accomplish their goals in life. Connie was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Dewberry. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 18 at 2 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Jared Tucher officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will also be at the church on Monday beginning at 1 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Friendship Fire Department in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
