Concerns center on finances vs illness

Statewide—Around 67 million Americans think they will have trouble paying their credit card bills due to coronavirus, according to WalletHub’s new Coronavirus Money Survey, released today. This survey, which follows WalletHub’s report on the States Most Aggressive Against the Coronavirus, illustrates some of the ways in which COVID-19 has impacted Americans’ lives and spending habits. Experts say that they have seen a lot of panic buying as a result of the coronavirus, with people purchasing things like toilet paper en masse, largely because they don’t know what else to do.

When it comes to testing Indiana has only tested 159 people as of Tuesday and 30 of those are confirmed cases. Indiana’s numbers are near the bottom of new rankings released Tuesday by WalletHub for the states with the most aggressive measures in limiting the virus.  The comparisons are based, in part, on testing.

According to the data, Indiana ranks #42 overall and #45 specifically when it comes to prevention and containment of COVID-19 and #46 for testing per capita.
