Community Healthcare Clinic Basket Auction Kicks Off Next Week

(Greensburg, IN) – The 2nd annual Community Healthcare Clinic of Decatur County (CHC) Basket Auction kicks off next week.

Proceeds go toward patient care for those in Decatur County who are either uninsured or underinsured.

Starting on Monday, March 31 and running through Friday, April 11, a basket will be posted daily on the CHC Facebook page, bidders can post their bid, and a winner is awarded each evening.

Each basket in the auction was created by a member of the board of directors. There is a wide variety of offerings from a gardening basket, dental care, products from Honduras, a photography session and so much more.

In 2024, the CHC worked to raise funds to remodel of its dental clinic. The organization was awarded grant dollars to meet its goal. The new equipment is expected to be installed by the second quarter of this year.

Also last year, the CHC was able to provide over $75,000 worth of medication to patients at no cost.

The CHC is open to anyone who is either uninsured or has insurance with a deductible over $3,000 and meets financial income guidelines.

The cost per medical visit is $10 and dental visits are $20.

The Community Healthcare Clinic of Decatur County (CHC) is a 501 (c) 3.

In addition to providing care to more than 100 families in Decatur County, the CHC supports patients by offering educational classes, medical supplies as needed, and assisting with medications.

The CHC provides one medical clinic a week, and scheduled dental clinics.
