(Greensburg, IN) – The location of the new Fairgrounds Event Building was discussed at length this week by Decatur County Commissioners.
Saying they want to avoid taking the greenspace in the middle of the fairgrounds, commissioners agreed to have the structure built where the Greensburg Optimists Booth is currently located.
The new building is expected to be ready in time for next year’s Decatur County Fair.
Commissioners vowed to find space and build a new Optimist Booth.
Greensburg/Decatur County Economic Development Director Bryan Robbins told commissioners the state is expected to release READI 2.0 funds soon, which includes the fairgrounds overhaul project.
Also, commissioners unanimously approved the hiring of Leigh Ann Dashiell as Decatur County 9-1-1 Director, effective immediately.
