Holton, In. — The Ripley County coroner has identified a Columbus resident dead following a hunting accident near Holton Saturday around 11:30 a.m. No foul play is expected.
Reports indicate Anthony Thompson, 29, his brother and another juvenile, all of Columbus, were from a ground blind when the incident occurred at 8:35 a.m. Ripley County EMS were the first to arrive to offer assistance and secure the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
