College Goal Sunday set for February 27

STATEWIDE — College Goal Sunday will take place February 27 for college-bound students at Indiana schools.

Experts in filing the Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be on hand at locations around the state, including Lawrenceburg, to help students fill out the form.

The FAFSA is required for students – no matter their household income – to be considered for financial aid including grants, scholarships, and student loans.

Students must have it filled out by April 15 in order to be eligible for financial aid.

In Southeastern Indiana, College Goal Sunday will be held at Ivy Tech Community College’s Lawrenceburg Riverfront campus on Walnut Street from 2 until 4 pm on February 27.

Financial aid professionals will be on hand to help students through the process.

Participants and their parents or guardians should bring their complete 2020 1040 tax returns plus other income and benefits information from 2020.

Students who worked should also bring tax and income information.

Participants who attend College Goal Sunday and submit a completed evaluation form will be entered in a drawing for one of five $1,000 scholarships.
