Senator Dan Coats (R-Ind.) spoke on the Senate floor Wednesday about the projections of rising health insurance rates in Indiana and other states due to the Obamacare law.
In his remarks, Coats referenced a recent article that stated “initial 2015 premiums filed for the Obamacare exchanges in Indiana ranged from as high as a 46-percent hike to as low as a 9-percent cut.”
“These double digit increases are just one of the shocking realities of the impact of Obamacare in Indiana,” said Coats. “Thousands of Hoosiers have lost coverage they liked and relied on because of the so-called Affordable Care Act. This 2,000 page law was sold to the American people on false pretenses. We owe it to them to replace this law with common-sense solutions that increase access to quality care without increasing costs.”
