Batesville, IN— at last evenings Batesville City Council meeting, Mayor Mike Bettice and Kim Linkel informed the Council and those in the crowd that on October 30, The Coalition for a Drug-Free Batesville received notice that they have received an additional 5 years of federal funding to continue work in Batesville.
Linkel stated the 3 major areas the Coalition is focusing on with education is alcohol, nicotine with an emphasis on vaping, and marijuana use.
The Coalition meets the first Monday of each month on the 3rd floor of the Memorial Building at 11 am. The public is always invited to attend.
