Joe Halloran

Joseph John Halloran, better known as Coach Joe, was born on August 19, 1967 in Germany.  He was the son of Joseph Frank and Marilyn Heim Halloran.  The love of kids and sports was the driving force behind Joe and his multiple coaching positions over the years –most recently as an assistant varsity football coach at Franklin County High School.  Joe was also the girls’ assistant varsity softball coach, and spent time coaching in the youth football league and at Brookville Middle School.  Over the years he touched many lives and will be missed dearly.  On Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at the age of 49, he passed away, surrounded by family and friends.

 

Those surviving who will honor Joe’s memory include his wife, Faith Halloran; children, Nicci (Bob) McGinty of Kansas City, MO, Joe (Courtney) Halloran of Brookville, and Chase (fiancé-Haley) Halloran of Brookville; father, Joe (Kathy) Halloran of Rising Sun; brothers, Tony (Andrea) Halloran of Rising Sun, and Jim (Kristine) Halloran of Warsaw; sister, Missy (Jeff) King of Milan; step brothers, Russell (Nina) Whitaker and Joe (Carson) Whitaker, both of Vevay; special friends, Joe (Crista) Kollmann of Cincinnati, Kip (Cara) Main of Batesville, Troy (Cathie) Courtney of Rising Sun, Austin Neeley of Brookville, and John (Beth) Heis of Brookville.  He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Halloran.

 

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 10 till time of service at 12 noon at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  Scott Kollmann, Pastor at New Life Fellowship in Madison will officiate the 12:00 service.  Burial will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Mt. Healthy, OH.
