(Dearborn County, IN) – INDOT is scheduled to close State Road 46 in Dearborn County on or after next Monday (March 3) to complete a slide correction project.
The closure will take place between Covered Bridge Lane and Higher Ground Lane west of U.S. 52 and is expected to be complete in mid-April, weather permitting.
During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows State Road 1 to I-74 to U.S. 52.
A second slide correction project will take place on State Road 46 between Covered Bridge Lane and Higher Ground Lane following the completion of this closure.
INDOT will provide more information about that work at a later date.
This project is part of a $1.9 million contract awarded to Dave O’Mara Contractor in November 2024.
Drivers are reminded to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
