(Batesville, IN) – Crews have completed their work on the Bike and Pedestrian Trail Expansion project on the east side of State Road 229 between Hillcrest Avenue and State Road 46 in Batesville.
Both the north and south lanes are open to traffic.
“We appreciate your cooperation these past few months as we work to build a safer and more integrated pathway system for all residents,” reads a statement from the City of Batesville.
Plans call for the entire project to eventually encompass the area along State Road 229 between Franklin Street and Six Pine Ranch Road.
It’s slated to be finished by the summer of 2027.
