Christine Cummings, 63, of North Vernon passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Columbus Regional Health in Columbus, Indiana. Christine was born Saturday, September 22, 1956 in Milan, the daughter of Richard and Alma (Addison) Cornett. She worked 15 years in the health care business for Muscatatuck. She enjoyed puzzle books, socializing, tv, painting, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Christine is survived by her father Richard and step-mother Janie Cornett of Crothersville, IN; sons: David Allen Gerbig of Seymour and Terrance Knight of Indianapolis; daughter Amanda Knight of Indianapolis; brothers: Richard (Kay) Cornett of North Vernon, Steven Cornett of Kentucky, Timothy (Shannon) Cornett of North Vernon, and Robert (Pam) Cornett of Crothersville, IN; sister Cynthia Drake of Hayden, IN; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother Alma; sons Matthew Cornett and Benjamin Gerbig; and husband David Allen Gerbig.
A service celebrating her life will be held 6 PM Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan with Pastor Harris Long officiating. Family and friends may gather to share and remember her 4 – 6 PM Tuesday also at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in honor of Christine to the donor’s choice.
