Those that commute on S.R. 46 W are being cautioned to watch out for road crews this week. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will chip seal a 20-mile stretch between Greensburg and Columbus beginning Monday.
Flaggers will direct drivers at the worksite between S.R. 3 and S.R. 7.
INDOT is scheduled to work near S.R. 7 and Hartsvillle on Monday and Tuesday. Road crews plan on chip sealing S.R. 46 from Hartsville to Greensburg on Wednesday and Thursday.
The schedule could change based on the weather.
Officials ask motorists to drive with caution and travel at slow speeds where chip seal has been freshly applied.
