Charles P. Riddell

Charles P. Riddell, 88, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 in Rising Sun, Indiana.

He was born February 2, 1929 in Cynthiana, KY, son of the late George Larkin and Sarah F. Riddell.
He served his country as a member of the United States Army. Charles served 15 months overseas during his time in the Army. After returning, he worked for Probst Brothers Imp.

He was a co-owner of Tri County Water and also worked for Paul H. Rohe Co., where he continued to work both jobs until he was 75 years old.

Charles was a member of the Aurora VFW. Charles loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.

Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia L. (Tonne) Riddell of Aurora, IN; son, David (Judy) Riddell of Rising Sun, IN; daughter-in-law, Denise Riddell of Cincinnati. OH; twin sisters, Vivian Cotton and Virginia Waldon of Moores Hill, IN; brother, Bill (Joyce) Riddell of Rising Sun, IN; sister in laws, Betty (late Leonard) Riddell of Aurora, IN, Connie (late Kenneth) Riddell of Dillsboro, IN; grandchildren, Sarah (Jeff) Wickman, Amanda (Mike) Gray, Nicole (Eean) Bailey, and Andrew Riddell; great grandchildrens, Lydia Riddell, Jessa Wickman, Addison and Alivia Bailey, and Delaney Gray.

He was preceded in death by parents, Larkin and Sarah Riddell, sons, Jeffery and Charles “Dennis” Riddell; brothers, Leonard and Kenneth Riddell, and sister, Pauline Wiemeyer.

Friends will be received Monday, August 14, 2017, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Pastor Charles Hill officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.
