Charles Dale Huneke “Chuck”, 87, of Greensburg passed away on Sunday, September 18th, 2022. He was born on August 29, 1935, in St. Louis, Missouri as the son of Charles Herman and Evelyn Violet (Artress) Huneke. Charles was a graduate of Batesville High School and served in the United States Army Airborne Division as a Paratrooper. He married Iris Ann Firsich on July 6th,1957 at St. Louis Church in Batesville before relocating to Greensburg where he spent 45 years at the Delta Faucet Company.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Greensburg, Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 in Batesville as Chaplain and Treasurer, Binders Bowling League in Batesville, and Owner of Huneke & Son Audio. Chuck was known for his love of family, life, laughter, and sociability. He loved his summer vacations on the lake with family in Michigan, coffee outings on the weekend, bowling league nights, his dogs, terrible golf, and working entertainment events with his grandson.
Survivors include: his wife, Iris Ann (Firsich); children: Bridgitt Jo Huneke, Jennifer Lynn Huneke; 2 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Huneke and Evelyn V. Artress.
