The North Decatur Cross Country team hosted the Eagles of Jac-Cen-Del on Tuesday night and came away with a hard-fought victory. Earning meet medalist for North was sophomore Eli Weisenbach with a time of 20:33. Crossing the line just behind was sophomore Logan O’Dell earning a second place finish in a time of 20:40. Adam Wade ran a terrific race finishing in 4th 21:19 while freshman Harper Gunn placed 5th in 21:21. Senior Noah Weisenbach earned 7th place in 21:47 and Jackson White 23:04 claimed the 10th spot in the race. The sophomore trio of Sam Cathey at 25:49, Teagan Striecker setting a new PR in 27:55, and Jake Demitt 29:48 rounded out the times for the Chargers.
At the conclusion of the race, Senior Noah Weisenbach was recognized along with his family as our lone representative of the Senior class. Noah has had an outstanding career for the Chargers and looks to continue his great running and provide his strong leadership as the team prepares for their conference meet on Saturday and Sectional on October 14.
