Chargers Football Conquers the Road

The Chargers undertook the long road trip to North Daviess and came home victorious.  Both teams tested the waters in the first quarter and ended the quarter scoreless.  The Chargers would rectify that situation at the 10:44 mark of the second and would continue the onslaught, amassing 54 points, and 342 yards of total offense.  Corbin Thackery led the Chargers in rushing for 117 yards.  Defensively, the Chargers held the Cougars to 63 yards and 57 yards passing. The Chargers would score 4 times with the ground attack and 4 times in the air.  Mason Morris was 9 of 13 with 1 interception.  Matthew Fields, who made his varsity debut for portions of the game, was 4 of 6.  Cohen Thackery led the team defensively with 4 solo tackles, 3 assists, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 1 fumble recovered.  The Chargers will face another, much shorter road trip, this week as they travel to Edinburgh.
