The Chargers rebounded from their Week 2 loss with a tone-setting win against another conference opponent. The Chargers traveled to Monroe Central and put 380 yards of total offense on the board, along with 42 points. After a coaching chess match in the first quarter, the Chargers found success on the ground and in the air in the second quarter, striking first with a 56-yard touchdown pass from Morris to Owen Eldridge. Eldridge would find the end zone again in the second quarter on an 85-yard pass. Morris would find the promised land two more times on the ground in the second quarter, including a 46-yard scramble run as time expired in the half. The third quarter belonged to Corbin Thackery, who found the end zone twice before the JV squad finished out the game. The Chargers defensively held the Bears to 67 yards rushing on 23 carries, averaging 2.9 yards per carry. The Chargers held the Bears to under 170 yards of total offense and created two takeaways. The Chargers next face their third conference opponent is as many games when they host the Shenandoah Raiders.
