Catha Pauline (Scudder) Harper, 96, was born March 27, 1930, to Russel Bostic and Nana Mae Burton Bostic. On February 24, 1985 she married Donald Harper. Catha was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent 26 years working as a Food and Beverage Manager at the Holiday Inn in Shelbyville. She also worked at Goodwill in Corydon and North Vernon for 10 years. She was a faithful member of Star Baptist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. She was very proud of having 5 generations and often reflected on all her many blessings. Catha had a special bond with her granddaughter, Bobbie (Vince) Phares Goheen, that she deeply cherished.
Catha is survived by her children, Nancy Conner, Jerry Scudder, Judie (David) Anderson, James (Lottie) Scudder. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Harper; sons, William Scudder and Thomas Scudder; Daughter, Linda Sandefur; siblings, Harry Bostic, Eva Chambers, Ronald Bostic, and Ruth Devota.
