Carole Ziegler, age 73 of Batesville, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at her residence. Born January 25, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky, she is the daughter of Maxine (Nee: Trenton) and Wilber Metcalfe. Carole worked for 14 years at Tudor Square Realty, was a champion baton twirler, an excellent wife, mother and dear friend to all she met.
She is survived by her husband Robert (Petie); daughters Susie Johnson (Dee Tuttle) of Bloomington, Indiana, Karen (Mike) Pedigo of North Vernon, Indiana; sons Billy (Hilary) Johnson of Batesville, Pat Jacobi of North Vernon, Indiana; step daughters Melissa (Tom) Kerker, Anjie (Tim) Boyd, Kerri (Aaron) Browder, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren Emily and Eleanor Vawter, Will and Sam Johnson, Ashely and Austin Jacobi, Will Kerker, Tyler and Dylan Boyd and Riley and Reese Browder.
Carole’s wishes were to be cremated and a private burial will be held. The family would like to thank the staff of Margaret Mary Health Hospice Foundation for all of their care and support. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Foundation in Carole’s name. Weigel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
