Cardinals Track Tri-Meet Results At JCD

The Saint Louis Track & Field season continued under sunny, but slightly cooler, weather conditions on Monday, April 15 at Jac-Cen-Del. They competed against North Decatur and the host Eagles in a 3-way meet. The Cardinal teams deserve congratulations for another fine effort.

The Girls’ team continues to benefit from a well-rounded roster; St Louis scored points in 11 of 12 events. On this evening, they had to settle for a second place finish behind JCD, as they were edged out by just 2 points.

Event winners were: Kate Weber – High Jump, 1600 M run, 400 M run; Isabelle Wonnell – 800 M run; Isabelle Wonnell, Sadie Wachsmann, Abbey Wuestefeld, Kate Weber – 4 x 400M relay.

2nd place finishes went to: Sadie Wachsmann – Discus; Allie Savage – 200 M dash.

3rd place was claimed by: Allie Savage – Long Jump, 100 M dash; Isabelle Wonnell – High Jump; Sadie Wachsmann – 800 M run; Lexi Scheiner – 400 M run.

4th place was earned by: Ella Moster – Hurdles, 100M dash; Sadie Wachsmann – Shotput.

The Boys had to settle for a 3rd-place finish. They continue to persevere, despite being short-handed.

Scoring for the team were: Thomas Lohmueller – Hurdles; Christian Mack – 400 M run; Santiago Schutte – 1600 M run, 800 M run.

The Cardinals will face Jac-Cen-Del again on Wednesday, in a 3-way meet at Switzerland County.
