St. Louis Track & Field returned to South Ripley for a 4-way meet with Shawe and Jac-Cen-Del on May 1. The weather was ominous, and rain poured down on the team as they departed for the meet. However, it was still dry in Versailles, so the meet went on. It would not last, as the ongoing threat of rain and local lightning halted the events before completion.
St Louis did earn some ribbons and personal records before the lightning came. (Overall points and team rankings were not tallied for the weather-shortened competition.)
