In their season opener on Thursday night, the St. Louis 7th grade boys basketball team took on the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles at home. Despite a valiant second-half effort, the Cardinals couldn’t overcome a rusty first half and ultimately fell to the Eagles with a final score of 32-20.
Cam Walke led the Cardinals with a standout 16-point performance, while teammates Evan Jennings and John Raver added points to the board as well.
The team looks to bounce back next Thursday when they head down Mulberry Street for a matchup against the Batesville Bulldogs.
