The St. Louis 5th Grade Boys Basketball team brought home a win Monday night when they hosted Mount Carmel. The Cardinals were able to get out to an early lead and hold the lead the entire game. The final score was St. Louis 40, Mount Carmel 15. Caleb Mohr lead the Cards with 14 points, Tyler Reder had 10 points, Ben Greiwe had 8 points, Jaiden Kuria had 4 points. Jack Freeland and Sam Richardson each scored 2 points. Brady Wonell, Vincent Meneses and Leo Canessa helped out with some great assists and strong defense was played by all. The St. Louis Cardinals took on the Mt. Carmel Vikings on Monday, November 5th at St. Louis. Despite an 8 to 0 lead, the Cardinals were defeated by a score of 26-17. The Cardinals were led in scoring by Ben Miller with 8 points, followed by Max Amberger with 3 points, and Christian Mack, Sully Hill, and Henry Wanstrath each with 2 points. Wanstrath had a very solid all around game with 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists. Miller also had 6 rebounds, followed by Amberger with 4, Sam Laloge with 4, Ryan Duerstock with 3, Max Richardson with 2, Santiago Schutte with 1, Marc Meneses with 1, Zavier Tekulve with 1, and Christian Mack with 1. Recording steals for the Cardinals were Laloge, Miller, Mack, and Amberger. The Cardinals next game is Tuesday, November 6th when they travel to Brookville to take on St. Michael’s. The St Louis Cardinals 8th Grade Basketball team picked up their second victory in as many games tonight by defeating the St. Mary’s Catholic School of Greensburg by a score of 28-13. The Cardinals are now 2-0 on the young season. The Cardinals will be back in action tomorrow night with their first home game as we take on the Franklin County Wildcats at 6:00pm at the St. Louis Activity Center.
