The St Louis 5th Grade team was victorious in their first game of the season at St Mary’s of North Vernon by a final score of 25 to 14. Ray Welke led the team in scoring with 17 points followed by Sam Dice with 4, while Andrew King and Calvin Padgett each chipped in 2 pts each. The team played solid defense and was successful in overcoming St Mary’s 1st half lead of 10 to 7. Other key performers were Damian Brelage and Grant Wanstrath with solid defense and rebounding. The boys all worked well for their 1st victory of the season on both the offensive and defensive ends. St Louis 5th will be back in action on Monday, November 9th at home vs Mt. Carmel.

The St. Louis Cardinals hosted the first game of the season. Being thankful for 4 selfless kids willing to help us out due to several being out. Thank you to Nash King, Auggie Hilenbrand, Santi Schutte, and Sully Hill. With a victory of 41-28 for SLS. Scoring and working hard for SLS was Caleb Mohr with 21pts, 5 assist, 4 steals; Nash King with 8pts, 1 assist, and a steal; Auggie Hilenbrand with 8pts; Ben Greiwe with 2pts, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds; Sully Hill with 2pts, 3 rebounds; and Vincent Meneses with 4 rebounds. Great job Cardinals on this first game.
