Cardinal Track Results

The St. Louis Track & Field team returned to Jac-Cen-Del on Wednesday, April 24 for a 3-way meet with South Decatur and the host Eagles. The girls were just edged out by South Decatur (49.5 – 47.0) to earn second place, while the boys took third place.

The rain that had been predicted stayed away until after the meet was completed, and the cooler air made for good performances. Many Cardinals took advantage of the weather to set new Personal Records, as listed later.

Event winners for the Cardinals were: Allie Savage – Long Jump; Sadie Wachsmann – Discus; Kate Weber – High Jump, 1600M run, 400M run.

2nd place finishes went to: Ella Moster – Hurdles; Allie Savage – 200M dash; Ella Moster, Lilly Schebler, Hope Kroen, Allie Savage – 4x100M relay; Isabelle Wonnell, Sadie Wachsmann, Ava Owens, Kate Weber – 4x400M relay.

3rd place was claimed by: Ava Owens – 400M run; Allie Savage – 100M dash; Sadie Wachsmann – Shotput; Isabelle Wonnell – 800M run; Santiago Schutte – 1600M run, 800M  run; Henry Wanstrath – High Jump (tie).

4th place was earned by: Lexi Scheiner – 400M run and Sadie Wachsmann – 800M run.
