(Brookville, IN) – Franklin County Clerk Neysa Raible says Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Noon is the deadline for all candidate committees, current elected office holders (income over $5,000 per year) and political action committees to file annual campaign finance reports for 2025.

“We want to emphasize the importance of your compliance with applicable campaign finance requirements. By law, you may be fined $50 per calendar day (maximum of $1,000) for reports filed past the deadline,” Raible said in a statement. “Failure to timely file a campaign finance report may also subject you to criminal penalties. If your report is found to be defective, you may be fined $10 per calendar day (maximum of $100) for failure to correct the report in a timely manner. Penalties can also be imposed for other campaign finance violations that can result in even higher civil penalties.”
The Franklin County Clerk’s office is open from 8:30 a.m. to Noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
