(Decatur County, IN) – Bethany Cales was elected at a Decatur County Republican Party caucus to serve as Adams Township Trustee.
She succeeds Rachel Mirick, who recently resigned because she moved out of the township.
Cales defeated three other candidates – Kylie DeBaun, Clay Hargitt, and Somer Welsh-Hart – for the post in voting by precinct committee members.
She had been serving as an Adams Township Advisory Board member but will vacate that position.
Decatur County Republican Party Chairman Nate Harter says a caucus will be held to fill that vacancy on the township advisory board – date and time to be determined.
