The Herbert Brothers of Batesville will be on television in the near future as a popular cable channel confirmed Tuesday they are behind all of the filming being conducted locally the past few months.
The A&E Network has created the new nonfiction series that follows the five brothers who won the “Doritos Crash the Super Bowl” in 2009 and later went on to produce commercials for the likes of Pepsi, Go Daddy, and Franks Red Hot.
According to the A&E Network, production begins immediately for eight half-hour episodes. The series is scheduled to premiere this summer. Filming by Zig Zag Productions will continue through May.
The network had an interest in the Herbert Brothers because they compete with major advertising companies in New York and Los Angeles yet reside in the rural Midwestern town.
“The five brothers still live and work in their idyllic hometown and enlist help from the locals; their friends act, mom caters, dad builds sets and neighbors help script,” the network stated in a release.
For the reality show, executive producers for Zig Zag Productions are Matt Gould, Danny Fenton and Mark Efman. The executive producer for A&E Network is Lily Neumeyer.
A&E Network now reaches 100 million households and broadcasts original content such as the popular “Duck Dynasty,” “Beyond Scared Straight” and “Storage Wars.”
