The Batesville Bulldog Wrestling team entered the morning with a 0-1 record but was able to improve it to 2-3 after going 2-2 at Milan despite only having 6 wrestlers competing. Batesville started slowly with a 70-12 loss to Adam Central and a 36-21 loss to Union County. The Bulldogs bounced back with a victory over Rushville 30-15 and a victory over Milan with a score of 28-24.
The Bulldogs had 4 wrestlers going 3-1 on the day. Those wrestlers were Senior Tyler Schaeffer at 132 with 2 pins, junior Josh Mobley at 152 with 2 pins, junior 220 Brandon Manning with 1 pin, and freshman 120 Tacoma Nicholas with 2 pins. Juniors Alex Murphy (126) and Chase Hamilton each had 2 wins at 1 pin.
The Bulldogs will next travel to Rushville next Saturday.
